Pampanga: Guv bars Capitol workers from attending PB hearings (10:55 p.m.)

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- With the ongoing rift between the executive and legislative departments here on several issues, Pampanga Governor Eddie Panlilio has issued an executive order prohibiting department heads to attend Provincial Board (PB) hearings without any authority or permission from him.

Under Executive Order (EO) 2007-29-ETP Section 1, it states that the provincial department heads or employees of the Capitol, before complying with any invitation or summons to attend a committee hearing of the PB, "shall secure first the authority or permission from the governor."

The order, which says all department heads, chief of hospitals and employees of the Provincial Government are to secure prior permission from the governor, was signed on August 30 and took effect last Friday.

In could be noted that earlier, Human Resource Management Officer Jesusa Goseco was summoned for questioning on the appointment of Provincial Administrator Vivian Dabu and Provincial Legal Officer Maria Elissa Velez. (MHD of Sun.star Pampanga)
