Pangasinan town councilor's house robbed (7:55 p.m.)

PANGASINAN -- Sta. Barbara Councilor Alexander Parayno lost about P500,000 in cash and assorted jewelries to their house helper, a police official said.

The house helper, identified as Harlene Astillero, 18, of A.B. Fernandez East, Dagupan City, was brought to the Pangasinan PNP Crime Laboratory in Lingayen on Monday for a polygraph test.

Sta. Barbara Police Chief Leopoldo Rivera said Astillero will be treated as a suspect because of the circumstances behind the robbery. He also said a case of qualified theft has been filed against the suspect.

Police said the alleged robbery took place at 1 p.m. last Friday. (LCMY/Sunnex)
