The three were reportedly mining inside the Australia Mining tunnel when they encroached into a danger zone at around 3 p.m.
Mt. Diwata barangay captain Franco Tito said the three went inside an area in the tunnel identified as a danger area due to high risk of caving but at the same time reported to contain gold of high quality.
Tito said the two Salupans were recovered alive two days after being trapped inside the tunnel.
He said they are still conducting their search and rescue operation for the remaining miner inside the same tunnel.
Tito said it was only on Friday that they discovered the three were trapped inside the tunnel.
He said though that since Wednesday, personnel of the mining company have been digging into the rubble to clear the area of debris.
