Police foil bomb attack in Tacurong City (1:31 p.m.)

AUTHORITIES foiled a potentially deadly attack after disarming three improvised bombs in Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat Wednesday morning.

Police said the explosives were found at the City Plaza at around 7 a.m. Wednesday

Sultan Kudarat Officer in Charge Teng Tocao said the bombs were diffused after civilians who discovered it immediately reported the matter to the police.

The bombs were made from 60 mm mortar shells, which is a signature by Jemaah Islamiyah bomb makers.

Police are still investigating on the motive of the bomb attack and the people behind the attempt. (Sunnex)
