Authorities blame Al-Khobar, an extortionist group, for the latest Kidapawan bombing.
The Al-Khobar group reportedly demanded P500,000 from Kidapawan City Mayor Rodolfo Gantuangco minutes before the explosion.
Initial findings by bomb experts showed that the suspects used a pipe bomb, cell phone detonated improvised bomb. Damage was estimated at P300,000.
The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) readily denied a hand in the explosion at the Kidapawan mall. (Sun.Star Davao/Sunnex)For more Philippine news, visit Sun.Star General Santos. (November 25, 2007 issue) Write letter to the editor. Click here. Join the Sun.Star message board. Click here. |
