Two Chinese tourists identified as Alex To and Cal Ziming, who are renting the house, and their two other unidentified companions are believed to be operating the shabu laboratory.

The police, in a report to Central Luzon Police Director Errol Pan, stated that shabu manufacturing equipment and chemicals worth about P15 million were found inside the residential unit at 11-13 Remy Street, Villa Teresa Subdivision, Barangay Sto. Rosario, this city.

The raid was carried out on the strength of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 31 Executive Judge Napoleon Sta. Romana of Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

The PDEA and ACPO operatives were accompanied by some Sto. Rosario barangay officials led by Chairman Allan de Guzman and media men.

The operation resulted in the discovery of the suspected shabu manufacturing laboratory.

Initial investigation conducted by the police disclosed that the Villa Teresa residential unit is being rented by To.

The raiding teams found several equipment and essential chemicals in manufacturing metamphetamine hydrochloride.

ACPO Intelligence Branch chief Lorenzo Detran said these included a mixer, steerer, reaction chamber, and burner.

As of this writing Wednesday, the police are still doing an inventory of the equipment and chemicals. (Sun.Star Pampanga/Sunnex)
