DUMAGUETE CITY -- A woman from Bayawan City gave birth to healthy quadruplets Friday.
Remedios Delfin, 37, gave birth to two boys and two girls last January 25 at Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital in Dumaguete City.

All four babies weighed between 1,350 and 1,850 grams.
The doctor said it was unusual for all four babies to be around the same size.
The children were born after 32 weeks and three days of gestation, about eight weeks shy of a normal nine-month pregnancy.
Most women with quadruplets deliver at 29 weeks, she said, adding that the mother was still moving around and healthy, if uncomfortable.
Delfin delivered in a normal procedure. The boys may be identical, she said.
She added that the babies should be healthy enough to go home within the next 10 days to three weeks.
Survival
Parents of the quadruplets show apprehension over the survival of the children.
The mother admitted that they are not capable of sending the quadruplets to school.
She is just a plain housewife while her husband work in a sugarcane plantation on a seasonal basis.
As of now, they are seeking assistance from both the government and private sector for their kids. The quadruplets' parents have yet to be wed.
Despite their situation, both parents refused to have their quadruplets adopted.
After she is discharge from the hospital, the mother will stay with the quadruplets in the house of her cousin in Magatas, Sibulan.
The parents are from Barangay Banga, a hinterland area of Bayawan City. (Sunnex)
