Actor victim of Basag-Salamin Gang (2:48 p.m.)
MANILA -- Movie and television comedian Bayani Agbayani lost cash and valuables to suspected members of Basag-Salamin Gang who smashed the glass window of his car parked on Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.
Agbayani (Bayani Rogacion Jr. in real life), 39, of Block, 7, Lot 6, Tivoli Royale Subdivision, Quezon City, filed a complaint on Friday.
Pasay Police Criminal Investigation Chief Reynaldo Paculan said the incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday but the actor only reported the incident Friday afternoon.
In his complaint, the actor parked his car -- BMW X5 bearing license plate ZHA-848, model 2003 in front of the Nicotina Restaurant near the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), on Service Road, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The actor left his driver identified as Nonoy in his car. He went inside a restaurant to attend the birthday of his Japanese friend who allegedly owned the establishment. But the driver followed him because it was too hot to stay in the car.
After 20 minutes, the actor and his driver returned to the parked car and found out that the window at the right back seat was smashed.
Two bags containing 400 Euro dollars, two check books of the Security Bank and PCI Bank, a bank book, passport and other valuables were missing.
Police deployed additional foot and mobile patrol in the area and other crime-prone sites in the city to deter criminal activities. (AH/Sunnex) |
