4 most wanted persons nabbed in metro (11:18 a.m.)

MANILA -- Police Intelligence Group Director Rolando Anonuevo announced the arrest of four most wanted persons in separate operations they conducted last week in Metro Manila.

Anonuevo said the arrests were made by virtue of warrants of arrests issued by the courts.

The three arrested were: Michael Roy Lumawag, most wanted person in Region 10; Angelo Preciosa de Guzman, 10th most wanted person in Region 8; and Isidro Edem Listones, most wanted person in NCR. All of them are facing murder charges.

While, Orly Villaverde, third most wanted person in Region 3 was also detained for the case of robbery with homicide.

Lumawag and de Guzman have P90,000 bounty each for their capture while Listones holds a P170,000 reward.

Police Chief Avelino Razon Jr. said these arrests were in line with his orders to all unit commanders to intensify police operations against wanted persons in their areas.

"Let us continue working doubly hard in making sure that criminals are brought behind bars of justice and be held accountable for the crimes they have committed," said Razon. (VR/Sunnex)
