Cado, when asked by media, said he only participated in the February 2, 2007 jailbreak at the Cotabato provincial rehabilitation center. The said incident led to the escape of 48 inmates, including those charged of extortion, kidnapping, and murders in relation to bombings.
The three Al Khobar gang members who were earlier arrested are Muhalidin Hassan, Alex Sanduyugan, and Melvin Claro.
Hassan and Sanduyugan were nabbed hours after the KMCC blast while Claro, allegedly a financial conduit of Al Khobar group, was arrested last February 8, 2008.
Cado is among the more than 30 Al Khobar members charged with murder, multiple frustrated murders, and multiple attempted murders in connection with the November 22, 2007 bombing in Kidapawan City that killed a mall employee and injured eight others.
Judge Rogelio Naresma of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 23 issued the warrant for Cado's arrest on December 18, 2007.
Superintendent Alex Tagum, deputy chief for operations of the Cotabato Police Provincial Office (CPPO), led the arrest of Cado in President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat.
The arrest was also conducted along with other operatives, including Kidapawan City Philippine National Police's (PNP) Special Weapons and Tactics (Swat) Team, military intelligence operatives, and other intelligence units.
According to reports, an informant from the area gave authorities clue as to Cado's location.
City Mayor Rodolfo Gantuangco hailed authorities for arresting Cado who has been on the watch list since November last year.
Cado is now detained at the Cotabato Police Provincial Office in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City. He is undergoing tactical interrogation to identify and arrest other members of the Al Khobar group.
