'Wowowee' man dupes Pampanga teachers By Marna H. Dagumboy
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Police have launched a manhunt operation against a man who deceived a group of teachers at the Pampanga High School (PHS) into believing he can make them priority studio players for the top rated noontime show "Wowowee" of ABS-CBN channel 2.
City of San Fernando Police Chief Renato Soria said he directed the women's desk to conduct follow-up operations and "get the suspect at all cost."

Soria identified the suspect only as certain Larry alias Migs, a resident of Barangay Quebiawan here, who was able to collect P1,500 from the unsuspecting teachers.
The teachers, who trooped to the police station on Monday to formally file complaints against Larry, said the suspect went to their school on February 29 looking for "studio players" scheduled for Monday games.
The suspect showed the names of Solina Dizon, 43, and Maria Nucup, 46, as the winners who were scheduled to participate in Wowowee games, police said.
Other teachers, who overheard the conversation, volunteered to accompany the two and paid P150 each for a parking pass and games. They were Marilou Timoteo, Lucila Pineda, Irma Reyes, Edwin Lapid, Remedios Borja, Aileen Guinto, Juneth Salas, and Amante Del Val, all secondary school teachers of PHS.
The complainants told police investigators that they were enticed to believe the suspect because he was wearing ABS-CBN identification card and also showed a document with "Wowowee" markings and photo of Willie Revillame, the program's host.
The suspect, the teachers said, also promised them free transportation from school to Channel 2 studio in Quezon City and promised to fetch them at the school campus Monday morning. The suspect, however, did not show up.
They added that the suspect even claimed to be the president of the "Papi Boys," a group of male regular studio spectators. (Sun.Star Pampanga/Sunnex)
