ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Authorities have arrested one of the three suspects in the recent bomb attack that injured six people in downtown Jolo, the capital of Sulu province, an official said.

The Sulu police office identified the suspect as Rening Kamlon Sabdani, alias Rening Asmaruddin, of Kajatian Village in Indanan town, according to Amilasan.
The suspect is now in the custody of the police undergoing further investigation, he said.
Four people, including two soldiers, were injured when a bomb exploded in the evening of March 1 at a bar outside Camp General Teodulfo Bautista in Jolo.
The incident last March 1 was the second that took place in front of Camp Bautista, the headquarters of the military troops in Jolo.
The first incident was on February 18, 2006 when the Abu Sayyaf bombed a bar in front of Camp Bautista, killing one and wounding 28 other people.
Jolo Mayor Hussin Amin has called for an independent probe to determine the real cause of the incident.
The police are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what caused Joven Sumicad's injury that resulted in his getting rushed to a community hospital in Quiniput village, 35 kilometers east of Zamboanga City.
Initial information reaching the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) revealed that Sumicad was injured in an explosion Monday night in the far-flung village of Tigbalabag.
Senior Inspector Doming Arguillas, chief of ZCPO's Police Station 1, said he is proceeding to Tigbalabag to verify the incident since there are conflicting reports reaching him.
"I'm on my way to the area to check because the report we received is that somebody was shot in that place," Arguillas said on Tuesday afternoon. (Sunnex)
