3 killed, 18 injured in Sulop explosion
DAVAO CITY -- Three people were killed while 18 others were wounded when a grenade accidentally exploded at a barangay disco in Sulop, Davao del Sur Friday evening.
The fatalities were identified as barangay tanod Rito Felonio, 30; Serveliano Brigole, 56; and Jun Real Brigole, 26.

The explosion happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday while Barangay New Cebu was having a dance party.
It was learned that Felonio was the one who brought the grenade inside the disco. He was dancing with a partner when the grenade suddenly rolled off the pavement before exploding.
Authorities suspect that the grenade's pin was already off before it accidentally dropped from Felonio.
Among those injured from the incident were Rogelio Brigole, 18, and Richard Sumalinog, 19. Both were immediately rushed to the Davao Medical Center.
Other victims include Junmel Camporedondo, 14; Rasell Lastimos, 16; Manolo, 16, and Meralona Medico, 27; Jhonny Liharso, 20; Francisco, 17; Michael, 23, Alberto, 23, and Armando Pelonio 22; Domingo Dumasig, 19, Carlito Otom, 40; Dermie Brigole 19; Roberto Temonio 43; and Gino Vargas 13.
All victims are residents of Barangay Roxas.
Two of those hurt in the explosion were already released from the hospital. They were identified as Neri, 11, and Jimmy Brigole, 17.
Authorities are still investigating the incident as to where Felonio got the grenade and as to why he was bringing it inside the disco.
