3 killed, 10 injured, baby missing in DavSur landslide By Ben O. Tesiorna
DAVAO CITY -- Three persons were killed, a baby missing and 10 others were injured when flashfloods and landslide struck a village in Santa Maria, Davao del Sur early morning of Maundy Thursday.
Reports reaching Sun.Star Davao showed that continuous rain in the Davao region caused flashflood in Sitio Kitorok, Barangay San Pedro at around 1:30 in the morning of March 20. A landslide also struck the area that covered several houses.

The dead were identified as Criselda Ali, 21 years old; Irish Daligasao, 21; and Cory Daligasao, 18.
The injured were meanwhile identified as Abong Ali, 23; Laurel Daligasao, 18; Damil Daligasao, 17; Jayjay Ali, 7; Jessie Daligasao, 22; Linda Ali, 48; Crisaire Ali, 5; Okoy Ali, 3; Ivy Ali, 1; and Paquito Daligasao, 62.
Still missing as of this writing is 5-month old Bobong Ali.
Incessant rain hit Southern Mindanao two days ago. Alert level was raised in many areas of the region as precaution to flashflood and landslides heavy rain usually bring.
Operations Manager of the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) in Southern Mindanao Antonio Celoma, Jr. said, they are continuing with their relief and search operations though difficult as the area is located in a far-flung barangay that can be reached only via a motorcycle. (BOT)
