Dumaguete tops dog bites in Negros Oriental (5:26 p.m.)

DUMAGUETE CITY -- Dumaguete City landed at the top spot in dog bite cases in Negros Oriental for 2007.

Dr. Rodney Pangilinan, of the Provincial Veterinarian Office, said among the towns and cities in the province, Dumaguete City has the most number of dog bite victims.

He, however, failed to show the number of dog bite cases of the other cities and towns in the province.

City Veterinarian Officer Lourdes Socorro agreed with Pangilinan.

The records in the City Health Office (CHO) show Dumaguete City with a total of 116 cases of dog bites out of the total 150 cases of animal bites last year. (VLC/Sunnex)
