Senator Kiko 'unwelcome' in Floridablanca (5:54 p.m.)

FLORIDABLANCA --- Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan failed to attend the 84th Commencement Exercises of the Floridablanca East Central Elementary School (FECES) Wednesday after several "hostile" streamers were posted in front of the school.

Pangilinan was invited to grace the school's commencement exercises at 2 p.m. Wednesday but due to the situation, the senator chose not to attend the graduation rites.

In an interview with Mayor Eduardo Guerrero, he said that Pangilinan could enter this town but "he is not welcome."

Guerrero said the streamers represent the sentiments of the Kapampangans, who are very supportive to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

The mayor said Pangilinan is the primary advocate in calling for the resignation of the President, who contributed a lot for the progress and development of the province, specifically the realization of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

One of the streamers described Pangilinan as "fake Kapampangan." (MHD of Sun.Star Pampanga)
