Ace Durano is new PTA general manager (3:23 p.m.)
MANILA -- Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace Durano got his second tourism-related post after President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo named him general manager of the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA), Malacaņang said Saturday.
Presidential spokesman Ignacio Bunye said Durano will handle both posts in a concurrent capacity, after PTA general manager Robert Dean Barbers' term expired.
"Ang termino ng dating GM Robert Dean Barbers nag-expire na (Former GM Barbers' term has expired). Secretary Durano will be both secretary of tourism and concurrently the GM of PTA," Bunye said on government-run dzRB radio. (JMR/Sunnex) |
