Puno cites proof of Isnaji masterminding Drilon abduction (2:17 p.m.)
MANILA (Updated, 2:17 p.m.) -- Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ronaldo Puno revealed on Friday that they have enough basis to prove the participation of Indanan Mayor Alvarez Isnaji in the abduction of ABS-CBN news crew and Professor Octavio Dinampo.
Puno said Mayor Isnaji masterminded the abduction of TV journalist Ces Drilon, cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion, driver Angelo Valderama, and Dinampo.
Puno said when they first learned of the kidnapping, they were told that a certain Laring-Laring was the mastermind of the abduction. It turned out that Laren-Laren was an alias used by Isnaji.
He also said Isnaji got a P5-million ransom from Drilon's family but only P2 million went to the kidnappers and he pocketed the rest. (Sunnex) |
