Sabio: I have proof of de Borja bribery (2:21 p.m.)
MANILA - Court of Appeals (CA) associate Justice Jose Sabio, Jr. revealed he has proof that business Francis Roa de Borja bribed him involving the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) row.
Sabio said he has text messages to prove the bribery and phone call records to show that the businessman insisted he accept the bribe.
The bribe was for him to inhibit himself from the case filed by Meralco against GSIS and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the CA.
He also dared de Borja to submit to a lie detector test.
The associate justice disclosed that he is mulling over filing a perjury case for lying in a sworn statement.
He is also thinking of a bribery charges against De Borja for implying that he wanted to profit from the Meralco-GSIS row. (Sunnex) |
