Arroyo is expected to arrive at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 9:45 a.m.

From the airport, she will proceed to the flyover site in Barangay Banilad for the unveiling of project marker and inaugural drive-thru.

The President will be accompanied by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Raphael Yabut, DPWH-Central Visayas Director Josefino Rigor, Presidential Management Staff Director General Cerge Remonde and Banilad barangay captain Mary Luz Tabar.

The flyover, which consists of a two-lane, 390-meter stretch, costs P86.913 million. Construction began last February 27 and is scheduled for completion on November 26.

Youth leaders

After the flyover inauguration, the President will proceed to the gathering of SK leaders to deliver a speech.

At the same event, SK Federation national president Jane Cajes will present their manifesto of support for the President.

Cebu City Acting Mayor Michael Rama, Representative Raul del Mar (Cebu City north district), Representative Antonio Cuenco (Cebu City south district) and Waterfront general manager Marco Protacio will accompany the President at the hotel.

The President will then have a private lunch with Cabinet and local officials at the Malacañang sa Sugbo.

At 2 p.m., she is expected to be in Argao town for the unveiling of marker of the Diosdado Macapagal Cultural and Sports Complex.

She will be accompanied by Mayor Edsel Galeos and Representative Pablo Garcia (Cebu, 2nd district). President Arroyo, through the efforts of Remonde, gave P20 million as financial aid for the construction of the sports facility, which costs P24 million.

The President will go to the Cebu State College of Science and Technology (CSCST), also in Argao, for the groundbreaking of an eight-classroom building. (GMD/Sun.Star Cebu)
