ILOILO CITY -- Eleven passengers were killed while an undetermined number remained missing after a passenger boat capsized some 200 meters off the shore of Bagongon Island of Concepcion town, around Thursday noon.

The Coast Guard, on the other hand, said it has suspended its search for eight people still missing after a ferry overturned on Tuesday off Masbate island. Some 100 were rescued but at least 42 drowned.
