Two holduppers cart away P238T By Ria Isidro-de Fiesta
TWO hold-up men staged a heist in the midst of heavy traffic along the Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo road near Robinsons Starmills here last Monday.
According to victim Aldrin Arallano, 17, of Barangay San Pablo in
Magalang town, the two thieves carted away P238,000 in cash from them at gunpoint.
According to Arallano, one of the holduppers, whom he described as 5’7" in height, around 30 years old, and was wearing blue pants and a cream T-shirt at the time of the incident, announced the heist while the vehicle he was driving, a white Adventure van with plate number CSA-188, was in the midst of traffic.
Reports also said that the holdupper went to the driver’s side of the vehicle and pointed a gun at Arallano.
Meanwhile, the other holdupper, who was wearing maong pants and a dark shirt, came to the passenger side and destroyed the right side window.
He then reportedly pointed a gun at Arallano’s companion, identified as
Loreta Bartolome, 73, also of Barangay San Pablo in Magalang town.
Arallano told police that the second holdupper fired his .45 caliber pistol and asked for “the bag containing the money.”
The bag contained money from their customers as payment for rice which they delivered to the China Bank in Barangay Dolores here.
The police, led by Sr. Supt. Nicanor Targa, in their investigations believe that the suspects knew about the bag containing the money or else they would not have asked for it.
The suspects then fled towards the west on board a red Honda car.
