PCL promotes 3-cock derby at Bacolor arena

BACOLOR -- The Pampanga Councilors League (PCL) has invited cock breeders and cock fighting enthusiasts from all over the province to join PCL's 3-Cock Derby on April 29 at 6 p.m. at Bacolor Cockpit Arena, GSO road here.
PCL president Nilo "Pogi" M. Caballa told Sun•Star Pampanga that they expect at least two entries/participants for every municipality.
Caballa said the entry fee is P5,500 with a minimum bet of P5,500. Maximum bet is of P11,500.
He said the desired weight for entries is 1.800 to 2.400 kgs, while "handler and gaffer" will be announced prior to the start of the derby.
The following rules also apply: cash-to-cash basis only; entry fee must be paid in cash upon declaration of weight; entries will be screened to ensure that all participants are "legitimate"; and request for "no fighting sequence/schedule" will not be entertained.
The 3-Cock Derby is also promoted and sponsored by Govwernor Mark T. Lapid, Pampanga Mayors League (PML), Pampanga Vice Mayors League (PVML), Pampanga ABC and KGBA, assisted by BCA and friends.
