2 foreigners arrested over cyberporn By Dante M. Fabian
COMBINED operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Angeles City police arrested two foreigners in the tourist center in Angeles City last Thursday for allegedly engaging in the illegal internet pornography operations.
The NBI agents led by special investigator Isaac Carpeso Jr. arrested Derek Durbin, 47, a Canadian national, and Clayton Haumea, 61, an American national, at the Doll House Bar along Fields Avenue in Barangay Balibago, the city's tourism district.
The NBI agents immediately whisked Durbin and Haumea to the NBI Central Office in Metro Manila, bringing with them wireless external antennae allegedly used in its internet pornography operations through the website www.chathostess,com.
Carpeso's team conducted the search together with the Angeles City policemen led by Insp. Josefa M. Peralta.
The police and NBI teams searched the premises of the Doll House bar on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Bernardita Gabitan Erum of the Angeles City Regional Trial Court (RTC).
Chief Inspector Lorenzo B. Detran, chief of the Angeles Police Station 4, said the NBI operatives took the foreigners to Manila for further investigation after their arrest in the presence of Purok Leader Edgar Simbajon.
Erum approved the application for a search warrant by the police team based on depositions by a witness, Ben Dimaanon, after finding probable cause that Durbin and Haumea were operating the internet pornography website www.chathostess.com.
Police said the two suspects engaged in indecent exposure of Filipino women performing sexual acts while viewed by customers around the world.
The raiding team also brought down and seized the external antennae described by the witness as WDN equipment model Linksys cable DSL router with serial number C2150E200332.
