Autocar Asean cites Ford Escape 2.3L VICS
* Ford Escape 2.3L VICS is top winner in Small SUV Category
THE Autocar Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) has recognized the Ford Escape 2.3L VICS as the winner in the Small SUV Category during the Car of the Year 2004/2005 Awards recently held in Malaysia.
Autocar Asean is a monthly motorcar magazine produced by MTM Publications. On its second year, it has evaluated over 60 models from 28 brands, which were launched in Malaysia between April 16, 2004 and April 15, 2005.
Only new models sold by authorized distributors and importers were considered. Criteria used by the judges in their assessment were as follows: styling, utility, safety, features, build, brand, ride, handling, economy, performance, value for money, quality and image.
The Ford Escape is America's best-selling small size SUV, which is big on capacity and comfort.
