House numbering system in resettlements urged By Reynaldo G. Navales
MABALACAT -- A member of the Municipal Council here Friday bared his plan to change the present numbering of housing units in three resettlement sites here.
Councilor Christian Halili said the present numbering of houses in Madapdap, Mawaque, and Camachiles resettlement centers, which uses street, block and lot numbers, is confusing and needs to be replaced with a "progressive system."
According to Halili, residents in the resettlement sites are clamoring for the change of their existing address numbers.
But the municipal council, it was learned, has deferred the resolution while waiting for the homeowners' formal request relative to Halili's initiative.
Halili recently filed a resolution seeking the change of numbering system of residential units in the resettlement sites.
Halili said he filed the resolution for "easy identification" and "security" of residents.
Board Member Tarcicio "Tars" Halili vowed to adopt the young Halili's proposal which he described as "good resolution."
