Gueco: Power capital
By Malu T. Gueco

WE ARE at the dawn of dynamic energy capital.

Waking up each new day gives us the power, vitality and strength to create our life's imprint for the next twenty-four hours. The choice is in our hands on how to influence our family, friends and fields of work. We have been gifted by Mother Nature with the ilan vital (energy) on how to effectively animate our lives with sources of get-up-and-go fuel admixture.

Forces from Nature and man-made machinery have been in tandem throughout the millennia of time to refresh, invigorate and enliven our earth and other planets of the solar system.

What is our major source of light?
The whole Universe is bombarded by this disk - sun. Bouncing its solar power on Jupiter, leaping over Venus and penetrating the tiniest grooves of the other planets, it stirs up solar energy.

Where does it obtain its Herculean-like wattage?
Very simple, it is embedded in its core - a nuclear reactor. Pulsating in heat, this nuclear center has a temperature that rises up to 14 million degrees Centigrade. Furthermore, its galactic base is comprised of gases, hydrogen and helium.

Total
Focusing on energy, we now turn our attention to the other mega force running our world. The oil and gas industry is a prime booster in empowering our 21st century endeavors.

A major oil player in our country is TOTAL (Philippines) Corporation. They began operations in 1997 here to respond to the deregulation policies of the government. Their petroleum, lubricants and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products are now renowned in the Philippines.

Message
In Pampanga, their lubricant distribution core is Ocampo's Guagua. Spearheaded by Manager Jimmy Alarcon, he gives this commitment.

"We are entering the royal road to customer care. We promise to give our clients these three anchors of service. These are:

1. Quality products - Our lubricants offer the premium qualities of corrosion protection, reduced emissions and environmental safety.

2. Feedback - This is a dynamic process we use in keeping in touch with the motoring public. In the form of friendly, face-to-face and reciprocal meetings, we have opened the doorway to accessibility. Anyone can approach me and any one of my staff to give us their feedback. They can share their comments, proffer suggestions and express any complaint. Win-win transaction is the key in unleashing the communication power base in the journey to the world of oil.

3. Responsiveness - Action is our response to any comments. If these are positive, we appreciate them, conversely, if they are a concern, then, we analyze if her/her point is valid. If it is a real issue, we act to solve the problem and let the client know of our action plan.
"Malaus ko pu (Come in). We are happy to serve you - our Kapampangan kabalens (province mates). Have a safe travel," he says.

Yes, dear readers, as Manger Jimmy Alarcon has presented to us their heartwarming message of service, let us keep discovering the gift of energy in our daily activities, schedule and lifestyle. Have a weekend blessed with security, satisfaction and the savvy of driving ease.
