Town under state of calamity

DUE to the huge damage in crops, properties and civil works brought about by the incessant rains for the past few days and inundation of some barangays, the Municipal Government of Candaba Tuesday declared the town under a state of calamity.

Alex Veneracion, Municipal Government engineer, said with the scouring of the portions of Arnedo dike's Mandasig, Lanang and Pansinao sections, it has incurred a damage of around P7 million while the breaching of the Malisik-Barangca, Mapaniqui, Salapungan sections and Maasim dike's Bahay Pare, Dulong Ilog, Visal Sto Nino and Pulong Gubat portions had incurred a total damage of P6.25 million.
