Editorial: He's the man

AS EXPECTED, Mabalacat Mayor Marino "Boking" Morales has endorsed the bid of Angeles Mayor Carmelo "Tarzan" Lazatin to the 1st district congressional seat.
After all, the three-term Angeles mayor had accomplished much during his stint as congressman.

And as can be expected, Morales has backed up Lazatin's opposition to the Angeles City lone district bill. He attributed his decision to his trust to the Angeles mayor, saying the latter knows what he's doing. Hmmmm...

Congratulations to the graduates of 2006! Post your graduation experiences and greetings here.

But then again many say Morales does trust Lazatin's judgment, expressing the latter's capability to raise the needed funds and even overshoot the P80-million Priority Development Assistance Fund expected to be alloted to Angeles City as a lone district.

Morales also cited his fellow mayor's connections -- which he had established during his three terms as congressman...connections which, in the future, would help Lazatin in infrastructure and social services.

And then, there is this one fact that Morales mentioned: that Lazatin is a "real man of the President," citing his capabilities to initiate the projects of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

But through all this, Sun.Star sources have only this observation in mind: Where one goes, so will the other. They are, after all, kumpares.

As much as Morales respects Lazatin and his decisions pertaining to the lone district bill -- or probably whatever future decision he makes -- it would be but expected of us to respect this move by the Mabalacat mayor.

It is still too early to tell where this is all leading to, but we will find out soon enough.
