Minors rescued in bars

CAMP OLIVAS -- Policemen here rescued 25 young women during simultaneous raids in at least seven "fun houses" in Sta. Rita Monday night, as part of their intensified campaign against beerhouses employing underage girls.

Zoilo Lachica Jr., regional chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) in Central Luzon, said the rescued minors whose ages range from 16 to 18 years old were taken to the social welfare department for debriefing and disposition.
