Police cadet admission test starts
CAMP OLIVAS -- The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) at the Camp General Mariano in Castaneda, Silang, Cavite is now accepting applicants for cadet admission test (CAT) for the four-year Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) cadetship program for Class 2011.
Applicants must be Filipino citizen; with good moral character; male or female; single (with no child or children); aged 17 to 21 years old at the time of admission; must be at least 5'4" in height for male and 5'2" for female; must be at least five kilograms of the standard weight measurement corresponding to height, age and sex; at least fourth year high school student or graduating prior to admission.
Interested applicants must be able to perform physical fitness exercises like pull-ups; full-arms hanging; two-minute push-ups; two-minute sit-ups; 100-meter dash and 1000-meter run. Time and number may vary for male and female applicants.
Additionally, applicants must be physically and mentally fit for cadetship training, no criminal, administrative or civil case on file before any prosecutor's office or any court of justice and no other derogatory record(s) and not a former cadet of the PNPA or other service academies.
Accordingly, applicants must submit accomplished application forms together with a window envelope and postage stamp at the office of the registrar or send through mail to the director of the PNPA in Camp General Mariano in Castaneda, Silang, Cavite.
Deadline for submission of application is not later than Sep. 30, 2006.
Notice of examination for qualified examinees shall be sent through mail or you may visit its website at www.pnpa.edu.ph. The place of examination for Central Luzon applicants is at the Pampanga High School in San Fernando City in the province.
Application forms are available at the offices of the Regional Police Community Relations Division (ORPCRD), Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) and at your nearest provincial/city police offices.
