Editorial: No to drugs

IT'S refreshing to note that the local police do not tire of cleansing the province of illegal drug pushers in their bid to eradicate the proliferation of illegal substances in Pampanga.

It makes no difference if you are a woman, too.

Arroyo Watch: Sun.Star blog on President Arroyo

Recently, a lady pusher was arrested by Arayat policemen in a buy-bust operation. Unknown to her, she was dealing with undercover policemen prior to her arrest.

Kudos to the Arayat police for yet again apprehending this lady drug peddler who might have gone destroying the lives of the youth with her merchandise.

Also, a drug peddler from Caloocan City was nabbed by operatives from the City of San Fernando, after yielding some P30,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride.

The suspect was also arrested in a buy-bust operation, this time along the busy Dolores junction in the city.

This suspect admitted to police that he gets his supply from Tandang Sora in Quezon City. A long way, yes, but the goods still manage to end up in the city.
The city police also deserve commendation, particularly Senior Inspector Ferdinand Germino who has made it a point in his career to stop these peddlers and the proliferation of drugs in the city.

No discrimination

After making an appeal to assist them in stopping the piracy of call center representatives, Cyber City based in Clark ecozone has again made a name for itself by its no discrimination stance.

The pioneering call center is now welcoming the employment of disabled persons into its fold.

Its senior executive vice president said the firm is giving an equal opportunity to qualified disabled in a bid to level the playing field.

We're sure Cyber City will get nods of approval by this new move, even as they are now getting popular support for its call to permanently stop the culture of pirating their call center representatives (CSRs) and technology support workers.
