Guv leads tee-off of Lazatin golf tourney

ANGELES CITY -- Pampanga Governor Mark T. Lapid will lead other distinguished government officials in Pampanga in the tee-off that will start the Mayor Carmelo F. Lazatin Golf Tournament at the Mimosa Golf and Country Club this morning.

Lapid will be joined in the tee-off by City of San Fernando Mayor Oscar Rodriguez, Mabalacat Mayor Marino "Noking" Morales, and Magalang Mayor Pastor Z. Guiao, who will be assisted by Lazatin, the over-all chairman of the tournament.

Senen Quiambao, tournament director, said the tournament is undertaken to raise funds for various social service projects of non-government organizations in the city.

He said the awarding ceremonies will be opened by Alexander Ozaeta, Casino Filipino Angeles branch manager, at the third floor of the Casino Filipino Angeles in Balibago.

Irish C. Calaguas, city information officer, said the candidates of the Mutya ng Angeles 2006 will be presented during the awarding ceremonies, which will also feature performances by the Integrated Performing Arts Club of Angeles City.

The main sponsors of the event are Casino Filipino Angeles City, Smart, Philam Life, E.L. Gomez, Pentagon, RZ Roncal, ALB Construction, and Haidee Construction.
