By Dante M. Fabian

ANGELES CITY -- The Road Runners Riding Club of Pampanga (RRRCP) is again set to ignite the thrill and show motoring showmanship on the second day of the Sisig Festival scheduled on December 1 and 2 at SM City Clark.

At least 150 riders are expected to compete in six major categories: Under Bones (Best Modified), Standard Bike (Stock and Customized), Best Cruisers (Stock and Customized), Best Scooters (Stock and Customized) and Best Sports Bike (1993-1999 and 2000-2006 models).

The Muscle Bike (Stock and Customized) has been added to these categories this year.

In expression of its support, Norkis-Yamaha, one of the top motorcycle distributors in the country, will send some 500 riders coming from different parts of the country to participate.

National and local television networks, print and broadcast media organizations and Inside Racing Magazine and Pinoy Rider Magazine, two of the country's top motoring magazines, will cover the event.

The bikers' festival will also be attended by the country's top riders headed by Jolet Jao, Superbike Racing top rider.

The other top bikers to arrive with Jao are Rod Chua, Wacky del Rosario, John Diego, David Pua, John Defensor, Gerry Chua, Aries Padiernos, Migs Rippol, Benjo Mendoza, Geofrey Aginsado, Dave de Leon, Roy Flores, Mico Boncio and Julian Gotia.

Road Runners has gained recognition not only by winning in racing competitions including the 2006 Shell Advance Superbike Racing but has also been active in humanitarian efforts and other socio-economic endeavors as well.

Homegrown talents like Carmelo "Jon-Jon" Lazatin II, Arnel Agpoon, and Christopher Sanchez are instrumental in ensuring the sustainability of the Road Runners vision and mission.
