Saturday, March 03, 2007 We will answer charges in proper forum: administrator By Marna H. Dagumboy
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Provincial Administrator Fidel Arcenas said on Friday that the camp of Senator Manuel "Lito" Lapid and his son Governor Mark T. Lapid will answer the charges leveled at them.
Although Arcenas did not provide categorical answers to the specific allegations on the "ghost projects," he was however firm on the stance that the Lapids and their fellow respondents will properly answer the charges.
The Lapid camp has refused to answer such issues with the media before and stated that because these should be properly filed in the proper forum first.
Arcenas said the cases that Vice Governor Joseller "Yeng" Guiao filed against them are purely "politically motivated."
He also said the Provincial Government strictly observes rules in the implementation of the projects that Guiao claimed to be double-funded by the Lapids.
Arcenas said the Provincial Government didn't hide any documents from the vice governor.
Guiao, during an interview, claimed that his office had a hard time convincing sources to come forward with the documents to be used as evidence in the charges.
