The Ciac-Human Resources Department (HRD) bared the hiring of one airport operations manager, one electro-mechanical technician, one senior ground operations officer, two senior security operations officer, two paramedics, four ground operations officer and one civil maintenance engineer.

Ciac-HRD manager Marie-Tessibeth Cordova said interested applicants might send their application forms to Regina Joyce Santos also of the HRD.

Applicants who possess the qualification standards will be processed for testing, according to Cordova.

For the position of airport operations manager at DMIA, applicants should have a college degree with a major in aviation, business administration, engineering or a related field.

Applicants should also have a minimum of three years management work experience in the field of operations, particularly in the field of airport operations.

The Clark firm has greatly improved since their inception in the early 1990s as the airport drew budget airliners all around Asia.

Last year, a record high of 470,867 passengers was posted in at DMIA, a 110-percent increase in passenger volume from the previous year.

In December last year, 50,607 passengers passed through DMIA. The increase is due to the influx of balikbayans mainly from the US preferring to arrive in the Philippines via Inchon, Korea aboard Asiana flights.

This year, DMIA was already averaging over 48,000 passengers per month.

Ciac president Victor Jose Luciano said DMIA has come a long way since its inception as an international airport just a few years after the eruptions of Mt. Pinatubo.

The Ciac management also values the development of its human resources because aviation is a dynamic industry, according to Cordova.

The Ciac-HRD is trying to improve its organizational structure just after the strategic planning conducted recently at The Lakeshore, Cordova added. (RGN)
