Thursday, July 05, 2007 Quota Int’l installs new officers By Raymond C. Garcia
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Quota International of Pampanga is not without some kind of distinction during the one-year term of outgoing president Malou Cura – for having the highest delegation in membership during the national convention and being awarded a 9-Star Share Sunshine Award.
In her speech during the 13th Installation of Officers and Induction of New members of the Quota International of Pampanga, Cura said she does not claim to be immortalized by virtue of her accomplishments.
“I know they are too ordinary as compared to the achievements of my predecessors. In all humility, I wish to express that I have tried my utmost best to be a worthy president despite a number of constraints,” she said.
She also said that considering Quota International is primarily a civic organization catering to the diverse concerns of the handicapped and disadvantaged members of the society, she urged her fellow Quotarians to continue their vow of commitment in helping the less fortunate.
During the program, Past Lieutenant Governor Ma. Theresa A. Laus did the honor of introducing Governor Josie dela Cruz of the province of Bulacan as the guest of honor.
Meanwhile, City Mayor Oscar Rodriguez, being the first Honorary Male member welcomed the guests and visitors during the installation.
