CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with SM Supermalls, on Monday launched at SM City Pampanga the duo's first-ever Business Service Center outside Metro Manila.
Now, shoppers can easily access vital information and avail of services of select government agencies at the mall with the new Business Service Center (BSC), said DTI Assistant Regional Director Judith Angeles.
The BSC, which is located at SM Pampanga's Annex A, includes the Consumer Welfare Desk and other services such as inquiries, applications and online services of various companies and government agencies -- including the Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the DTI Business Name Registration System.
Through the BSC, shoppers can register their business names -- new or renewal -- online, and receive their certificates through courier service, Air21, within three days.
The Consumer Welfare Desk, on the other hand, aims to immediately address customer concerns and complaints and inform the customers of their rights and responsibilities as consumers.
"Also, it serves as a one-stop-shop where consumers can avail of the basic government services and valuable information they need from the various agencies of government.
Applications for PLDT "DSL", "Vibe" and "SmartBro" are also accepted at the BSC.
Trained Consumer Welfare coordinators will be assisting customers to go online to access information and services.
Through the center's interactive facility, customers can access I-reklamo, a DTI-managed online complaints system and eServices wuch as eTin or getting a Tax Identification Number online, TIN verification, eFPS (Electronic and Filing Payment System), eBroadcasting, eSubstitued Filing and eRegistration from the BIR portal.
DTI Provincial Director Anacleto Blanco and other provincial heads of the agency in Central Luzon were also present during the launch. (ABL)
