THE Provincial Board (PB), this time around, has raised the issue of morality over the appointments of the two most controversial figures at the Provincial Capitol today -- lawyers Vivian Dabu and Aisa Velez.
We think these two have even surpassed the popularity of Governor Eddie T. Panlilio, don't you think?
Dabu and Velez have been hounded here and there over their appointments as provincial administrator and provincial legal officer. The issues against them are continuing to mount, whether they like it or not.
The PB, it turns out, is questioning the two's qualifications based on moral grounds. It has been learned that both of them, although single, have sons.
It is also questioning Dabu's position at the Dabu and Duque Law Office as managing partner from September 2001 to present, which clearly shows a conflict of interest.
These are just some of the points raised by the province's legislative body in considering the two as disqualified in their positions. Is there more coming, we wonder?
The two officials are still mum on the issue, but we're sure they won't keep quiet for long. They will have something to say to this, and that's what we have to wait for.
