Former SSP editor dies at 69

MABALACAT -- Rollie Razon, a former editor-in-chief of Sun.Star Pampanga, succumbed on Friday to complications after undergoing two surgical operations at the Central Luzon Doctor's Hospital in Tarlac City.

Razon died at around 1:30 p.m. at the said hospital where he was treated for an infection. He was suffering from diabetes and heart disease.

"Apung Rollie" became an editor-in-chief of Sun.Star Pampanga from 2001 to 2004. He was also one of the pioneers of Sun.Star Clark, the weekly forerunner of this paper.

Razon's remains lie in state at the Enriquez Funeral Parlor in Tarlac City and will be transferred to the Razon's residence at the Navy Resettlement Center in Capas, Tarlac on Monday morning.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, Razon's relatives said.
