MABALACAT -- Only in Barangay Sta Ines!
This was the common statement of residents in Barangay Sta Ines, Mabalacat as they lauded the village's former punong barangay, Bienvenido "Ben" L. Policarpio, for effecting a formal turn over of barangay funds and other properties.
In simple rites graced by Board Member Tars Halili and other townofficials last week, Policarpio turned over some P163,634.95 to the new sets of barangay officials led by punong barangay Edgar Halili.
Former Sta Ines village chief also turned over the accountable forms, property, and documents belonging to said barangay.
"A turn-over ku la ngan reng pibandiyan na ning barangay magumpisa kareng pondo, vehicles, equipment, materials, ampong aliwa pa. Masanting na ing makanyan banta malinis ing pamanguldas ku bilang kapitan na ning barangay kilub na ning 20 years," Policarpio said.
Halili acknowledged the receipt of the barangay funds and properties even as he lauded Policarpio for maintaining transparency in the barangay governance during the latter's incumbency.
Policarpio thanked the constituents in said village for their support to the barangay.
"Pasalamatan ku la pu reng kabaryu ku keng suportang binye ra kaku at keng barangay keng malambat a panaun na ning kanakung pamanungkulan," Policarpio said.
Halili admired Policarpio for his sincerity in serving not only the residents of barangay Sta Ines but also the people of Mabalacat.
"Malambat yang menungkulan I Kapitan Policarpio, panaun na pa nitang kaputul ku, I Mayor Fred Halili a meging kasaup na naman kareng miyayaliwang proyetung miras keng barangay," Halili said.
Also present during the turn over ceremony was Councilor Christian Halili, Board Member Halili's nephew and former Mayor Halili's son.
