CDC worker is Mutya ning Kapampangan 2007

CLARK FREEPORT -- Clark Development Corporation's (CDC) very own Keann Mallari is this year's Mutya ning Kapampangan.

Besting 17 other beauties from all over Pampanga, 21-year-old Keann is the administrative assistant of CDC president Levy Laus.

Keann said she is still a neophyte in both the corporate world and in the beauty pageant industry, but is proud to have made a name for herself this early in her career.

"I started out with the CDC only this October while my career in the beauty pageant industry began in 2006 when I was in my third year in college," said Keann, who earned her bachelors degree in tourism at the Holy Angel University.

Keann revealed that she never saw herself making a career out of beauty pageants, but little did she know that joining her college's acquaintance party during her third year opened the doors for many other pageants and beauty titles.

In 2006 alone, Keann bagged four beauty titles: Ms. Tourism, Ms. CBA (College of Business and Accountancy), and Ms. University, all at the Holy Angel University.

She was also crowned Ms. Campus Girl, first runner-up, in an out-of-school pageant involving various universities in Pampanga.

The winning streak didn't stop there. In 2007, Keann bagged the following titles, Bb. Mimosa, Mutya ning Angeles, and the Mutya ning Kapampangan. This year was also a milestone in her career as Keann was chosen among the top 12 beauties during the recently held Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

Keann, together with four other Mutya ning Kapampangan runners-up, will represent the province of Pampanga in next year's Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

Keann said she is both anxious and excited to compete again in next year's Bb. Pilipinas, but added that she is very much assured of the support given by Laus and her colleagues at the CDC.
