JDT Foundation gives aid to Kapampangans
By Raymond C. Garcia

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- In its fourth year of existence, the Jerome David-Tulio Foundation, Incorporated has provided medical assistance to hundreds of indigent families not only in his town in Guagua but in other municipalities of the province.

The late Guagua councilor Jerome David-Tulio who died on April 12, 2004, celebrated his 34th birthday last January 13 with a simple mass officiated by Pampanga Archbishop Paciano Aniceto at the Good Shepherd Memorial Park here.

Former councilor Divine David-Tulio, mother of Jerome, said the foundation is growing strong and has already assisted hundreds of indigent patients all over Pampanga.

Divine said last December 16, about 1,000 families in the 31 barangays in Guagua were given food gifts by the foundation, which coincided with her birthday.

She added that a medical mission will also be conducted next month where medicines and equipment will be donated by certain Jorge Samson of the US to the foundation.

Aside from the medical mission, Divine said a number of patients in need of dialysis and those who suffer hypertension and diabetes have also been given free treatment by the foundation.

She said a gift-giving program will take place in Barangay Bahay Pag-ibig, adding that his late son cared for the elderly members of the society.

Tulio said her family is committed to bring medical relief to Kapampangans, adding that his son had not forgotten and will always remain in the hearts and minds of those people they have helped through the years.
