The Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 has identified the victims as Ronie Suria, 32, a resident of Barangay Culipat, Tarlac City and a sales engineer of the Puyat Steel Corporation located along McArthur Highway, Barangay San Rafael, Tarlac City; and Juanito Lao, 62, of Barangay Rizal, Moncada, a businessman, owner of Caltex Gasoline station also located along McArthur Highway in Barangay Poblacion Sur, Paniqui, Tarlac.

A third victim, identified as certain Julie Ibanez, 38, of Barangay Aguso, Tarlac City, and a businesswoman, was not killed by the robbers.

Police said the three were victims of unidentified men riding in tandem in motorcycles.

Suria was walking alone at Pag-asa St. in Barangay San Rafael, Tarlac City when two motorcycle-riding men suddenly came from behind and shot him without any provocation after which the assailants divested him of personal belongings, including wallet with undetermined amount of money, cellular phone and wrist watch.

The victim was rushed to Ramos General Hospital in Tarlac City but died while undergoing treatment.

Lao, on the other hand, was held up inside his office at Caltex Gasoline Station by two unidentified armed men riding in a green Kawasaki motorcycle with improvised plate number SGT-559.

The victim had just arrived in his office when one of the men armed with .9mm pistol approached and shot him three times in the body. The killers then carted away his bag containing about P150,000 and immediately left the scene of the crime while the victim was brought to St. Rose Hospital in Paniqui, Tarlac but also expired while being treated.

Ibanez was also held up last Friday inside the Siesta Restaurant located at Victory Liner Terminal in Tarlac City by four unidentified armed men riding in tandem in two Honda motorcycles color black with unknown license plate.

The victim had just come from the Metro Bank branch in Barangay San Roque, Tarlac City to encash her check amounting to P115,000 and while waiting for her a bus ride, the perpetrators approached her and announced the hold-up at gunpoint and took all the victim's money including her Sony Erickson cell phone model K700i, ATM card, various credit cards and IDs.

The robbers carted away with more or less P150,000 in cash and valuables. (RCG)
