THE chairman of an investors/locators group in Clark had something to say about faceless reports of alleged ouster call against Clark Development Corp. (CDC) president and chief executive officer (CEO) Levy Laus.
In chairperson Tere Bognot's own words: "Wala na ngang saysay yung ginagawa sa kanya (Laus), wala ring punto ang gusto nilang mangyari."
Bognot's excoriating comment was part of a strong reaction that took exception to another paper's story that said members of the Clark Investors and Locators Association (Cila) wanted Laus out of Clark.
Bognot felt that Cila was being used, "Mukhang nagagamit lang kami," she said.
By whom, she couldn't, or wouldn't, say, perhaps for the simple reason that the story's source and those probably using them conveniently but dangerously lurk behind anonymity.
No face, no value.
Bognot and her group might as well be dealing with some invisible "evil forces" out to manipulate them into demonizing CDC people, among them, first and foremost, Laus.
And Cila, as Bognot put it, deplored the faceless, nameless, gutless mischief that made them look like a bunch of "shallow, inconsiderate, and unprofessional" investors.
She would have been more to the point had she said such stuff was irresponsible, unfair and malicious journalism as well.
Issue
Most people (you can't win them all) read Sun.Star Pampanga because it allows more space to all sides of the issues of the day as much as possible.
It is the least it could do in the name of fair and responsible journalism.
Others seem to try and still fall short.
Sun.Star Pampanga does not also pass for something that it's not. It's a daily newspaper, coming regularly from Monday to Sunday.
In fact, we're the only truly daily newspaper in Pampanga. Others claim but sorely fail to muster this simple qualification.
Sun.Star Pampanga is proud to be part of two highly-respected, professional business organizations in the country today, the Sun. Star Group of Publications and the Laus Group of Companies.
