CAMP OLIVAS -- About 63 newly promoted police inspectors, five of whom are females, have completed their mandatory Public Safety Officers Basic Course (PSOBC) Class 2007-85 in a simple ceremonies held at the Multi-Purpose Hall here last Friday.
The PSOBC is a four-month mandatory course for police inspectors in temporary status in order to have their appointments converted to permanent status.
Central Luzon Police Director Errol Pan was the guest of honor and speaker in the event.
According to Police Superintendent Macario Ferdinand Aquino, course coordinator, the PSOBC class 2007-85 started in early December last year.
Estrella Avena, National Police Commission-Region III director, was among the resource persons and lecturers during the course and tackled her lectures in police management and police operational procedures.
Baltazar Mamaril Jr., deputy and executive officer of the Community Relations Division and concurrent chief of the regional Public Information Office (PIO) here was also among the pool of lecturers and resource persons and enlightened the class of the importance of media relations, inter-personal communication and conflict resolutions.
Aquino said lawyers were invited as resource speakers and lecturers during the class.
National Police College Director Nestor Fajura officially declared the graduates who received their certificates from Pan.
The class president of PSOBC Class 2007-85 is Police Inspector Vicente Gabarda.
"You have reached the final commencement of your training after four months of sleepless nights and exhausting days, but this is just the beginning of a bigger responsibility on your part, I hope the knowledge you have acquired here will truly guide you in the daily discharge of your sworn duties in the days ahead," Pan told the graduates.
