Peso to hold bigger jobs fair
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Pampanga Provincial Government, through its Provincial Employment Service Office (Peso), in coordination with Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) will hold a job fair for local and overseas employment on April 2 at the capitol grounds here.
Luningning Vergara, officer-in-charge (OIC) of Peso, said the event is in line with Pampanga Governor Eddie Panlilio's agenda on livelihood and poverty alleviation.

The event will feature all local and overseas agencies in need of manpower.
Vergara added that the Peso has gathered in one venue a good number of companies to be able to facilitate all jobseekers to maximize their application by saving money and time.
Local agencies in need of manpower include, Asiawide Refreshment Corp./RC Cola, New RBW Mktg. Inc., Toy Kingdom, M-Power Services Solutions, Inc., Pacific Carpet Manufacturing Corp., Honda Cars Pampanga, Yokohama, SM Pampanga Department Store, NCO Phils. Clark INC., ISP/EPG, SM Hypermarket, Colorsteel, Sea Merchants Inc. / Superferry, Super Shopping Market, Inc., North Gate Land Phils., Manson Drugs, Trust International Paper Corporation (Tipco).
Participating overseas agencies on the other hand, features Ascent Skills Human Resources Inc., Grand Placement & Gen. Services Corp. Greenfields International Manpower Services Inc., Active Works Inc., Everlast International Placement Inc., Eye Quest International Manpower Services Inc., Morfy International Manpower Services Inc., Louis International Manpower Services Phils. Inc., Venture Mgmt. Systems International Corp., OTA International Promotions & Manpower Corp., LED Resources Mgmt. Corp., Star Express Placement Inc.
The Peso is advising applicants to bring along necessary documents for the pre-employment procedures like resume or bio-data, certificates and other pertinent documents.
Previously, Peso hosted similar job fairs here. But Vergara said they would be coming up with more varied and bigger fairs that would cater to all manpower resources that the province has as well as those specified by the companies themselves.
The event, which is a whole day affair, will be held in front of the Capitol building here. (IOF)
