THE Local Government of Angeles City has paid tribute to its outstanding employees who have rendered continuous years of public service.
City Personnel Officer Elizabeth Lagman said the "Program on Awards and Incentive for Service Excellence" aims to recompense the long-serving employees of the City Government who meet the loyalty eligibility criteria set by the Civil Service Commission's (CSC) Memorandum Circular (MC) 01, series 2002.
"Those who are eligible for the awards are regular or permanent employees who have rendered 10 years of continuous and satisfactory service in the government," Lagman said.
Mayor Francis Nepomuceno, in his inspirational message, challenged the awardees to continue espousing positive character values and let these transcend to the people they serve.
The awards are in three categories: The Bronze -- with 10 to 15 years in service; Silver -- with 20 to 25 years in service; and Gold -- with 30 to 40 years in service; each awardees also receives a plaque and a cash incentive.
Of the 124 awardees, 48 got bronze, 39 got silver and 37 got gold awards.
