Friday, May 16, 2008 'Ortelano' of Sta. Ana honored By Angelo A. Pesayco
STA. ANA -- The farmers here were cited for their significant contributions in the society through a simple program held during San Isidro's fiesta celebration last Tuesday.
Sponsored by Pampanga third district Representative Aurelio Gonzales and Mayor Rommel Concepcion, the program's theme was "1st Parangal Da Ring Ortelano at Pasalamat King Fiesta ng Apung San Isidro Labrador."
As tribute to the "ortelano (farmers)", Gonzales donated 30 pesticide sprayers. The Municipal Government, for its part, donated about 30 shovels.
The agricultural tools were given away as prizes in a raffle conducted during the program.
