Singian wants probe on 'salvaging' expedited

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Policemen in Arayat, Magalang, and Porac towns have assured that they will soon solve the cases involving the dumping of bodies in their respective areas of responsibility recently.

Provincial Police Director Keith Ernald Siñgian ordered his field commanders "to expedite the investigation into the series of found dead bodies in the province."

Siñgian said the chiefs of police of the three towns have been undertaking "in-depth investigations" on the two separate cases.

In his report to Singian, Arayat Police Chief Bruno Viola said the bodies of three men recently found in his town were believed abducted and killed in Nueva Ecija and later dumped in his area of responsibility.

Viola stressed that there were no reported abductions and killings committed in Arayat.

He said the three cadavers were all residents of Nueva Ecija and were already claimed by their relatives.

According to him, they are still trying to find out the possible motives behind the killing. He said there were reports and allegations that the victims were members of crime groups involved in robberies and other illegal activities.

Viola stated: "There may have been unequal distribution of shares on loot money or items which resulted in the killing of the three victims."

Meanwhile, Magalang Police Chief Rodney Louie Baloyo IV said the headless body of a man in his town was also dumped in his area to mislead the police investigation.

Baloyo said there were no reported abductions and killings that transpired in his area of responsibility.

He said the beheaded victim was believed to be a member of a robbery hold-up group operating in Angeles City.

Porac Police Chief Rolly Mendoza, for his part, reported that they are still investigating into the discovery of a body along the Megadike recently. He said his office is also trying to find out if the victim was involved in illegal activities.

Mendoza said the victim was a resident of Angeles City.

The Pampanga police chief said they will try to solve the three separate cases soon, and asked the public's cooperation to realize this.

"We will dig deeper into the motives of these found dead bodies in our area and certainly we will not leave any stone unturned. Along this line, we at the police force are appealing for the community's cooperation on giving us salient information as to the whereabouts of suspected criminals in a way that they will be held responsible for the alleged crime they committed. Hence, we are seeking help from the citizens to bring to our attention any substantial information relative to these suspects in a bid to effect their arrest," Singian said.
